People and Lifestyle

Naples is at its liveliest during season, roughly November through April, when seasonal residents return for the mild, sunny winter. Day to day, that means full tee times, lively beaches, and bustling restaurants, with locals and seasonal residents alike spending their time on golf, tennis, boating, walking trails, kayaking, and fishing. Shopping, fine dining, and outdoor music round out the calendar, alongside standout events like car and art shows that punctuate the season.

Naples draws a wealthy, well-traveled crowd, and that shows up in more than the real estate. The city has a strong culture of philanthropy, with a busy calendar of golf tournaments, fundraisers, and community events throughout the season. Whether you're here for the season or year-round, life in Naples centers on being outside: golf, boating, walking the beach, and enjoying the warm weather.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Naples' residents have access to everything from fine dining to casual local spots. For a night out, Osteria Tulia and Sea Salt on Third Street South are two of the most talked-about restaurants in town, known for chef-driven Italian and seafood menus. Truluck's Ocean's Finest Seafood and Crab near 5th Avenue South and The Hampton Social at Mercato Mall are also popular for upscale dining. And then there's Seed to Table, a Naples original, a grocery store with six restaurants, four bars, and live music, DJs, and themed nights like Latin Night and Ladies Night happening throughout the week

For an elevated night out, Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, offers oceanfront dining at HB's, Sunset Bar, and The Merchant Room. The London Club at Bellasera Resort is another favorite for live music and drinks near 5th Avenue South. Naples' private club scene is also expanding, with the highly anticipated Sterling's Club set to bring several new dining venues to the top of The Carnelian Hotel.

For shopping, there are several options. Shop small boutiques along 3rd Street South and 5th Avenue South, or your favorite high-end, luxury retailers at Waterside Shops, Mercato Mall, and more. A bonus is that many popular shopping areas are outdoors, so you can enjoy the gorgeous weather while you're between stores.

Things to Do

There's a great deal to do in Naples, especially for those who love the outdoors. Miles of beachfront parks and public beach accesses line the greater Naples shoreline, from North Naples down to Marco Island in the south. White sands and tropical breeze make them the perfect place to enjoy your day. Some of the most popular beaches include Lowdermilk Park, a favorite for families with its playground and volleyball courts, Clam Pass Beach Park, known for its scenic boardwalk through the mangroves, and Barefoot Beach for a quieter, more natural setting.

Beyond the beaches, Naples Botanical Garden is an absolute beauty at all times of the year, especially during the winter season when they have their light display happening. For a walk closer to town, the Gordon River Greenway offers 2.5 miles of boardwalks and paved trails through mangrove forest, connecting directly to Freedom Park and the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, a great stop for families and animal lovers alike.

Naples' cultural scene runs just as deep. Artis—Naples, home to the Naples Philharmonic and The Baker Museum, hosts concerts, exhibitions, and performances throughout the year. For something more lighthearted, spend an evening at Off the Hook Comedy Club, where the food is as good as the laughs.
